Tim Kelley followed up his first round with an identical 1 under par 71 to post a 2 day total of 142 and defeat Glenn Mullian (143) by a single shot.  Mother Nature came through with a beautiful afternoon - 75 degrees, sunny and breezy - and 44 players worked their way around a fantastic venue in Petersburg CC.  Rusty Breeden hung on for 3rd at 146 and Van Williams came back with a 1 under 71 to snatch 4th at 149.

Breeden was right in the mix - only 1 back of Kelley coming to 15 tee - but pulled his drive left and the ball was never found in the trees.  He ended up taking a double after re-teeing and that knocked him out of contention.  Kelley held a 2 shot lead standing on 16 tee over Mullian.  Both players played the smart shot on the long par 3 playing away from the bunker right but Mullian left his first putt 5 feet short and slid the par putt by the left edge.  Kelley made his par to hold a three shot lead going to 17.

Kelley bogeyed 17 however after pushing his tee ball in the right trees and had to punch to the front of the green and couldn't get up and down.  Mullian barely missed a birdie putt from about 10 feet above the hole.

Mullian put the pressure on Kelley by draining a 25 foot birdie on 18 - but Kelley 2 putted from the back fringe to a back center cup to secure the victory.  This was Tim's second RGA senior victory adding to his 2007 win at Salisbury.

Steve Isaacs shot a solid 74-76 (150) to take home the bragging rights for the 60 and over set followed by John Cuomo who turned in the low round of 71 for the 60+ flight.

A big thank you goes out to Kenny Clark and the entire crew at Petersburg.  Everything was top notch.  The tournament ran smoothly, the condition of the course was fantastic - especially the green complexes - and the food and beverages afterwards were right on time.  If you haven't played Petersburg in a while do yourself a favor and make arrangements to play a round.  Thanks to all the everybody who participated and we look forward to seeing you at the next event!
